Yoga + Women’s Health

Women’s cycles are a vital sign, just like your pulse or your temperature, of what’s going on in your body. But often we ignore the messages, unaware of complexities of this monthly process and how it changes during the different stages of our cycle and fertility.

Join Jen Yamzon, 200RYT for this unique workshop on women’s health. Through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and moving through the three stages of women’s fertility, we’ll dive deeper into all aspects of women’s reproductive health.

Fertility:

  • Learn the four phases of the cycle (menstruation, follicular, ovulation, luteal), and how to support and welcome pregnancy or manage fertility if you are not trying to conceive.

  • Yoga sequences to support each of the four phases of the cycle.

Menopause:

  • Yoga sequences to manage menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, irritability, depression, and anxiety.

  • Embracing the transition from care-giving (motherhood) to self-care.

Post-Menopause:

  • Embracing the wisdom phase.

  • Exploring ways gentle yoga flows can support ease and give energy during this phase of life.

We’ll discuss how lifestyle, nutrition, meditation, and yoga can influence women’s health, as well as how the 5 elements (fire, earth, metal, water, and wood) and corresponding organ systems (heart, spleen, lungs, kidney, bladder) of Chinese Medicine integrate into these factors.

Learn how to not only manage your feminine health but feel empowered to explore the nuances of your body in a non-judgmental and supportive environment. Experience this workshop as a safe space to expand your self-study and find balance in this essential pillar of your health.
